Bistrot

Café de Paris

45 Avenue de Friedland - 75008 Paris

Here is a taste of Paris, a reflection of its essence, located on the Avenue de Friedland, in the Hausmann style, just opposite the luxurious Hôtel Napoléon, a former haunt of literary figures such as Hemingway, Steinbeck and Dali. A short walk from the Champs-Elysees, but protected from the crowds, the Café de Paris Friedland offers a perfect postcard view of the Arc de Triomphe.

Run by the charming Ludivine Cazoul and decorated by Sylvie Hakim, the bistrot section, under a large covered terrace, is in a chic, retro style, with old-fashioned signs, pedestal tables with marble tops and rattan chairs. However, inside, the restaurant breaks with tradition, with small lounge areas for a more intimate atmosphere, or round tables and red banquette seating for a "tête-à-tête"; for the Cafe de Paris Friedland also reflects the modern side of Paris. Like the exhibition of pictures by the photographer Vic, a young French woman based in New-York, which offers a quirky, poetic vision of the modern bistro. Whether you come for scrambled eggs for breakfast, a rib of beef, Caesar salad or burger with house fries for lunch, to share a Magnum of pink champagne for an aperitif, to sip a Mojito, or to try James Bond's "Vesper" cocktail, the key here is simply to relax and enjoy yourself...

The friendly welcome, discreet service from staff in black aprons, and the poetic atmosphere, make this the new, elegant address in Paris's Golden Triangle.
